The 'Saronic Pearls'
The Saronic islands are small, cosy & each of them has its own charm!
They are often visited by Greeks and a lot of people of Athens have a holiday home there, because it's at a short distance
of the capital and they can easily be reached by boat from Pireaus.
They have a rich maritime past, and you can recognize this in the architecture of the buildings.
In Hydra no motorised transport is possible, so all transportation is by boat (or donkey).
Aegina was the first capital of Greece after the Ottoman occupation and is known for his pistachio trees.
Spetses is a blessed island, where you really can relax, enjoy the many views and beaches that you will encounter when you explore the island by scooter or quad.
A lot of people of Athens have a holiday home there because it's at a short distance of the capital and
can easily be reached by boat from Pireaus.
A combination of a few islands (mini island-hop) is highly recommended!
